Butcher's Shop of The Year Awards Northern Ireland Winner 2006  George, Judith & Gordon McCartney receiving their Meat Trades Journal Butchers Shop of the Year Awards at Claridges London from Noel Dawson of Lucas Ingredients and Ed Bedington, Editor Of Meat Trades Journal. For this most recent award we were one of 20 businesses throughout the UK whittled down to 6 which were selected for a visit by the judges from 800 initial entries. Our 140 year old business was vetted for product display, meat quality and cutting, staff efficiency and knowledge, co-operation with others in the supply chain, marketing and promotion, forward planning and diversification, and work in the local community - the aim was to find a butcher whose business is - world class. |
